| Michael, Paladin of Ehlonna | ADnD |
Stands over 6' tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Charismatic and strong. He wears a breastplate, carries a large steel shield and wields a Bastardsword. The symbol of Ehlonna is painted on the shield and he wears a wooden one openly.
He has found himself with a strange group. Beran a Cleric of Tempus, Garrik a Gnome Sorcerer and Fionne a thief of sorts. Beran seems to be a good man, a little martial but good in a fight. Garrik, well, he'd fit in Michael's pack, but his abilities are very useful. Fionne doesn't appear to have grown up, but her skills are proving invaluable. The monster that destroyed their ship, and the unearthly voice that accompanied it, remains a mystery. Fortunately the locals are friendly and welcoming, helped no doubt by rescuing the children from the Kobolds. This land and the people are not in good shape, something here is very wrong. The dark races are numerous here. In a few short weeks he's seen and fought more goblins, bugbears, orcs and undead, including a wraith, than he'd heard of in the old lands. Now he has been given a Mount by Ehlonna and tasked with finding one of Her Servants, a Treant that has been taken beyond her reach. Before he can do that though he needs to work with his friends to break an assault on Cullen and stop the orcs and others from reaching their goal in the mine. |
| Sir Madog of Toseland | Pendragon | Madog Smush!
A veritable giant of a man, and memorably ugly to boot. He's not exactly a good fit in social situations, the lisp and shock white hair not helping his visual impact at all. On the other hand, he's completely at home in the outdoors and hits with the force of a charging horse. Famous for many things, but in particular for his size, strength and constutition, as well as for being Just, Valorous and loyal to his Lord. In his first tourney he came up agains the Lord's son, being made a Knight at the tender age of 17. Upon discovering that the son was, well, incompetent he carefully pulled his attacks. This didn't help and he ended up having to pull his horse down, earning himself a reputation for being a poor horseman. |

| Vasco il Gatto | Conan |
No, I'm not a thief, I'm a Recovery Artist.
A thief, a good one. Can make a living as a pick pocket or con artist, but really rather better and getting into and out of secure places. Travels with an odd bunch, including a noble, simply because it seems a good way of making a profit. |
| Major Calumn Kinkell (retired) | Spirit of the Century |
Born in 1854 in Singapore, the third child of Brigadier General Jackie Kinkell and Mrs Edith Urquhart. His older siblings are Iain (1840), Hugh (1843) and Alice (1845).
His childhood involved a lot of travel and Calumn rarely stayed in the same country for any great length of time, let alone the same place. He credits this for his uncanny ability with languages. [Son of a Gun / Child of the World] As soon as he was able he signed up and studied at the Royal Military Academy, where he excelled. Upon graduating he quickly found himself being sent from problem to problem around the world. It was years after graduation in Africa that he first encountered the unknown. While out with a friend, investigating rumors of mysterious goings on they were attacked by a small group of what appeared to be bandits. Defending themselves they quickly dispatched the attackers, who promptly got back up again. Assuming that the first shots must not have hit anything vital they took greater care in their aim the second time around. Once more their attackers got up, even those missing parts of their heads. Fortunately while surprised by this turn of events neither of them were easy to panic. They adjusted their aim to the legs of their attackers, then burned them where they fell. The event however disturbed Calumn and he could never quite shake the feeling that there was a world he just wasn't seeing. Discussing this with his CO, word apparently reached Department M, since he was later approached and asked to join. Calumn agreed and joined as soon as his enlistment was up. [Known in strange places / "Stay down dammit!"] |
| Commodore Vanya 'Frost' Smith | Traveller |
A tall and imposing dark skinned man with short cropped white hair in his late 30s.
Vanya grew up in Glisten City, his parents holding senior positions at the shipyards. He was entranced by the ships from an early age and signed up for Naval College, Pilot speciality, as soon as he could. While there he found himself in a relationship, which didn't last the year. Even with this, and other, distractions he graduated with honours, setting the pace for his future career. During his first tour, as a crewman, he saved Ensign Savrog and another Ensign when repair work on a power distribution node went wrong. Along with other outstanding work this resulted in him reaching the rank of Sub-Lieutenant by the end of that tour. Moving swiftly on from there he joined his career of choice and became a Pilot (primarily with Special Ops). He spent 2 tours as a pilot, during which he rescued a senior officer when a mission went wrong and left with the rank of Commander. He spent his final tour in Naval Intelligence. He says nothing of that time, but left the service a Commodore with a medal for Conspicuous Gallantry (as well as a Long Service Medal), a ship's boat (the Ominous Hum) and a substantial number of ship shares. He's a slightly odd sort for ex military, not too concerned about following rules and procedures - more concerned about getting things done right and keeping everybody in one piece. There's no question that he values the Imperium over almost anything else and he's clearly proud of his career to date.
Key skills: Leadership, Pilot (Small craft) |
| Alexa Henderson/Sung Fang Lin | Adventure! | But there was supposed to be
an earth shattering Kaboom!
She's driven by a secret, one her companions know nothing about. Able to build, fix or operate just about anything, particularly wheeled vehicles. Her companions include Sophia Zarnesti (appears to have strong mental powers, including the ability to read minds and move small objects) and Edward Champion (a bit of an enigma, far older than he appears, seems to have many contacts with the military). Mac (a streetwise knife fighter) has moved on |
| Skyran | Blue Rose | Shhh!
Skyran is not exactly easy on the eye - thin parallel scars across
his face, and a nose that was obviously broken at the same time.
Initially he's rather distant and solitary, but once he gets to know
people he is much more friendly and open, though still not given to
talking much about himself - possibly as a result of his (slight)
disfigurement. His explanation for the scars vary, but the most
common ones are either that he angered a female bear with cubs
nearby, or that Convel did it when they were both very young.

| Anne Morgana MacLeod | 7th Sea |
I'm a hunter, hunting people when it pays, even information at times. It always
seems to be that I'm hired by people from home, but that's just co-incidence.
A very fun character to play. Part Sidhe, part headcase, all action. When fighting tends to use whatever is to hand, instead of her Sidhe sword. Great campaign, but one that seems to have been put on ice. |
| Londo | Star Wars |
A multi-class Force-adept/Jedi - his homeworld is low tech (think traditional
fantasy campaign setting) so he's found this high tech universe rather
hard to adapt to. Life is further complicated by the fact that his religion
very certainly had leanings towards the dark side.
During his time with his travelling companions he's strayed briefly towards the dark side but managed to drag himself back to the light. |
| Brisharess Haldryn | Forgotten Realms | I'm a cleric of Kelemvor. Initially I came here to these strange lands to set up a temple to spread the word. However, having seen how others have abused His name I have a cult to destroy. It isn't going to be easy, and if I'm not careful I will die before I see it through to completion. However, everything dies in the end. |
| Saruwatari Masahiro | Bushido | A ronin looking for a new master. Fun campaign, somewhat different from others I've played. |
| Rys Tomascalé | Anaslom (ADnD) | Rhys Tomascalé, son of Lord Iain Tomascalé (leader of the Order of the Sacred Rose) and Lady Pearl Escalante. He has an older sister, Rose, and a large pet dog called Shadow. |
| Ras Ahdahar | Watersmeet | Multiclass Rogue (7)/Shadow Dancer (1), with a modified Shadow Dancer to remove the evil aspect. Intended as a spy, but the campaign came to a halt shortly after he was introduced. |
| Freae | Watersmeet | Another ADnD (3.0) world, different GM. Half-Elven Druidess, working on taking some levels of Rogue so she can become a Nature's Avenger. Adventures with a Monk (Yuma), Paladin (Valanthe) and a Wizard (Veddicus). Eventually retired after half the party was killed defending Watersmeet. |
| Sir Iain Tomascalé | Ansalom |
The GURPS version of the campaign. A Knight of the Rose - an order dedicated to the human god.
Loud, direct and unswerving in his belief that he will succeed at whatever he does. Resulted in more close calls than with any other character I've ever played. Not above bending the rules to get a better result for everybody, which explains why he was happy to work with a couple of assassins. Last seen working in the home of the Order, Caldan, worrying about the safety of his son, Rhys. |
| Nemo | Far Islands |
GURPS - a lunatic elf weapons master. Towards the end he really was death on
legs. He was created purely to have a good fighter in the party and was
tweaked (within the rules, and with the GM's approval) to be the best he could be.
Never planned on as a long term character he became a lot of fun, partly because he was fairly enigmatic. Sadly the GM killed of the campaign, having grown bored. |
| Tanya | Far Islands |
GURPS - same campaign as Nemo. Created to have a mage in the party,
persuaded the GM to let her be part dragon. That resulted in a
seriously dangerous member of the party.
I still remember her with her hand down some flying creatures throat deciding the best thing to do was to toss a 3d6 fireball down it's throat... Retired because the GM felt that she was too powerful (she was). |
| Atimalta | Far Islands | GURPS - same setting as above. Created as a weaker character for a more realistic campaign. Sadly the GM forced the situation where I had to kill the party or die, so I killed them and then died anyway... |
| Mary Jennifer | Medieval |
Mary is a healer and sometimes called Bloody Mary (is in covered in blood),
she's also a fairly powerful PSI and has a somewhat short temper, leading
to her other name of Jenny Psycho.
The GM running this campaign left the area for a better paying job. Shame really, she was a lot of fun. |
| Ti | Future | Short silly campaign by the same GM as the Far Islands. Scientist on the run in a future earth. Like all good scientists totally absent minded, hence such laughs as turning a manhole cover to molten metal, while standing under it knee deep in water... |
| Tachi/Kathy | Future | A cyborg/AI pairing that, along with another member of the party, utterly blew apart the GM's plot in short order. |
| Koyla iz Vaalguard | Harn | Purely generated, not ever played as the GM pulled out at the last minute. An Orbaalese gladiator with an interesting background. |
